Witches Weekly
Found this. Thought "hey, why not?" Maybe I can make it substantial.
How do you incorporate your spirituality into your daily life?
Um... er... ah... Well. Um.
Does your daily life hinder or support your beliefs or practices?
See, there's the rub. My daily life is all about caring for Baby Z. My free time during the day is during her nap. It is in this 2-3 hour window that I may do some of the following: check e-mail, blog, check in on TC, surf web, prepare supper, clean kitchen, clean living room, clean computer room, clean self, do laundry, do miscellaneous chores, eat, write, be witchy. And that's pretty much the priority order, unfortunately.
What do you wish you could do more for your beliefs on a more regular basis?
I think what I would like ideally is what I had before we had moved to CO: a room of my own just for witchiness. A place where I can set up a permanent altar. A place where I can store my tools w/o fear that little hands will find them. Right now, I have a decent space but it's in our basement. Size-wise, it's great. It's also very visually private. Unfortunately it's right under the family room where Hawk watches Baby Z (and turns up TV or music to an incredible volume). There's also something just not right about the space itself. Can't put my finger on it. I've cleansed it twice and it's just not working.
I think what I will do is eliminate Baby Z's unused playroom. With nothing for adults to do, we never go in the playroom with her. She's also just not interested in playing with us so we're kind of useless just sitting there. I had the laptop in there briefly but there's no web access and I'm not great w/o a mouse. Plus the toys she loves are down here (hence the above "clean living room, clean computer room" etc.).
The room is light blue and has no furniture except a chair where I sat at aforementioned laptop. The table the laptop was on is now in our kitchen for Mammoth Feast. I did start a stencil in there for her playroom and maybe it will revert to a playroom when she's a little older. Anyway, just a thought I'm having.
