Yule "miracle"?

I just finished my Yule ritual and I had an odd thing happen during it. I went to light the thick red Yule candle off the red elemental candle. I had a small, short god candle (1 of 2) off to the right of the elemental. When I went to hold the Yule to the elemental, the heat from the god candle was closer and more intense than I'd anticipated. So I set the Yule candle off to the left and used a snuffer to extinguish the small god & goddess candles. I picked up the Yule candle to try lighting it again...

Surprise! It was already burning.

I sat for a few moments and considered what I was seeing. I'm 99.44% sure that I didn't get close enough to the elemental to get the Yule lit. Obviously I must have lit it without realizing.

Or did I?

This certainly tops the "catching robe on fire" Yule Ritual of 2001 (only a minor event but it made me a firm believer in going skyclad).
