Preach it elsewhere
Until this morning I had a forum for people to post in. Whatever the original purpose, I'd forgotten about it and how anyone found it, I have no idea. I received an e-mail from Bravenet saying someone had posted in my forum w/ a copy of the post.
Someone using a fake e-mail address who called himself "Ty" went on a big nonsensenical rant about my hatred of "Christians" (he always used quotes -- dunno what that was about) and about how I need to be more tolerant. I don't hate Christians so let's get that stinkbomb out of the way. I do hate self righteous barely-functional idiots who tell me to be tolerant while they spew out a wave of intolerant babble.
Anyway, he had a big rant about his very moral, very "Christian" mother and how wonderful and perfect she is and how she's suffered and blah blah fucking blah.
Dude, I don't care about your dear old mother. If your post had been even somewhat sensical, you might have made a case. It was so incoherant and horribly-written that I had to give it two glance-overs to see if it was anything relevant to my life. It wasn't.
The reason I even bring it up is this: I have no idea what set him off. I can only think that it might have been one of these essays but I don't ever remember going off on Christianity. I might have gone off about people who profess to be Christians and act in very unChristian ways. How he would have then found the forum escapes me completely.
So I just deleted the forum, seeing as it served no purpose other than attracting foaming-at-the-mouth insecure psychos. The previous post was from a spammer or somesuch over a year ago.
I think he was trying to preach at me or convert me or something. It was hard to tell what his purpose was b/c it was just inane. So it made me wonder: do people like "Ty" think that attacks and insults and Jesus-centric verbal diarrhea are going to convert the heathen masses? Do I care what your god thinks of me? No. I care what my god thinks of me and from what I understand, "Ty" and his ilk believe that they're different entities.
Gee, and I was all set to rant about Easter this month. Maybe I still will.
